During her pregnancy, Puja Verma from Chhattisgarh came across Kilkari – a mobile health education service that offers timely, easily available, accurate, and pertinent information for reproductive health. She listened to all of the Kilkari calls and did as they instructed and with all the information in hand and following the guidance, Puja had a safe pregnancy and delivery. She wanted to assist other women in having safe pregnancies as well. She applied to work in Chhattisgarh as a frontline health worker otherwise known as ASHA. She remembered details from the Kilkari calls and gave thoughtful answers to the questions posed by the village selection committee.
