The 2030 vision’s core element is the Maharashtra state’s socioeconomic growth, which must be balanced, sustainable, and inclusive. All sectors can grow steadily in a sustainable environment. Environmental investment aids in long-term, self-sustaining growth, hence the environment has been given top priority, serving as the cornerstone of the five pillar plan i.e. Agriculture & Allied Activities, Industry, Infrastructure, Social Sector, and Governance. The Vision cites, “All citizens of Maharashtra be happy, healthy, educated, empowered, leading to a peaceful and prosperous life. The report also yields the statistics of all components of the pillars, the core challenges, and the way forward. The high disparity in per capita gross value was Mumbai and the lowest was Nandurbar among the districts. While 52% of people are dependent on agriculture & allied sectors, they still struggle to earn a profit, and barely survive from the output. Vision 2030 aims to improve the Human Development Index (HDI), in conjunction with other pillars. Read the details report by the Planning Department for Vision 2030.
