State wise Birth rate, Death rate and Infant Mortality rate

India is a vast and diverse country with variations in birth, death, and infant mortality rates across its states. The birth rate, which indicates the number of live births per 1,000 population, tends to be higher in states with higher fertility rates. In 2021, states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan had relatively higher birth rates compared to states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, which had lower birth rates.

Regarding death rates, different factors contribute to variations among states. These factors include healthcare infrastructure, access to medical facilities, disease prevalence, and socioeconomic conditions. In general, states with better healthcare facilities and higher socioeconomic development tend to have lower death rates. However, it is worth noting that certain states with higher population densities, such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, may have higher death rates due to the larger population size.

Infant mortality rate (IMR), which indicates the number of deaths of infants under one year old per 1,000 live births, varies significantly across Indian states. In 2021, states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra had relatively lower IMRs, reflecting better healthcare services and nutrition interventions for infants. On the other hand, states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan had higher IMRs due to factors such as poverty, lack of access to quality healthcare, malnutrition, and sanitation issues.
